Oklahoma, the three-time defending national champion, inked eight players on the first day of National Signing Day as head coach Patty Gasso has brought another outstanding class to Norman, Okla.
But Gasso was not the only coach to lure an impressive haul of talent to their campus in the Big 12.
Craig Snider brought the second-ranked class in the nation to Texas Tech and Baylor (No. 22) and UCF (No. 24) also had top 25 recruiting classes.
Houston (No. 30), Texas (No. 40), Kansas (No. 43) and Oklahoma State (No. 58) were also ranked among the top recruiting classes nationwide.
Extra Inning Softball provides a look at the recruiting classes for each of the programs ranked in the Big 12 Conference.

Baylor Bears
Baylor added five student-athletes in the 2024 signing class, announced by head coach Glenn Moore.
“We’ve addressed every need except catching in this class,” Moore said. “We believe in recruiting highly competitive athletes from winning programs. That means we recruit winners who hate to fail and are willing to pay the price success demands. Although this likely will not complete the 2024 class, it is a great foundation in replacing a very successful class of seniors.  Thank you to my staff for working tirelessly in the recruiting process to bring in these new Bears.”
Three of the 2024 signees are from Texas, while one hails from Mississippi and one from Colorado. They are scheduled to enroll next fall and will be eligible for the spring 2025 season. The Bears class consists of Karynton Dawson, Gigi Lindsey, Faith Piper, Savanna Pogue and Sadie Ross. Dawson is ranked 12th in the Extra Elite 100, Pogue is 29th and Piper is ranked 39th.
BYU Cougars

Rounding out the Knights’ newest class are corner infielder Kendall Yarnell, middle infielder Coco Jaimes and third baseman Izzy Mertes.

The class includes four pitchers, including two who also play infield, two catchers, including a catcher/outfielder, an outfielder, an infielder and a utility player. The Cougars class is ranked 30th in the nation by Extra Inning Softball.
“This is a big class for us,” Head coach Kristin Vesely said. “2024 is the first official class we’re signing as members of the Big 12 Conference and we’ve extended our athleticism, added pitching and big time hitters that can come in and make an immediate impact.”
Nevaeh Brown (Harker Heights, Texas), Isabel Cintron (Chula Vista, Calif.), Madison Hartley (Georgetown, Texas), Savanna Luther (McKinney, Texas), Rylee Michalak (Lawrenceville, N.J.), Madox Mitchael (Fairfield, Texas), Emilee Prochaska (Little Elm, Texas), Ariel Redmond (Conroe, Texas) and Brooke Wells will be joining the Cougar program next fall.

Iowa State head coach Jamie Pinkerton has announced the signings of eight high schoolers to National Letters of Intent.
The Cyclones signed Danika Best, Jessie Clemons, Karlee Ford, Abby Huhn, Hayleigh Oliver, Samantha Potvin, Victoria Prado and Sereniti Trice.
“Overall, this is a very good class that addresses our needs now that we’re finally exiting the years of roster fluctuation due to COVID,” says Coach Pinkerton. “These eight players will fill our pitching, catching, infield, outfield and left-handed hitter holes that will come with graduation. Our whole staff is looking forward to working with this group of student-athletes.”
