Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? It was the fall of 2018 when I was trying to find the right fit for me. I had quest played a weekend with Select 14U at the time and instantly felt that this was where I belonged. I loved the coaches and teammates and knew Select would present me with the best opportunities for my future. Being apart of Select has been the best experience and I wouldn’t change it for anything.
What do you bring to the team? I bring leadership, a positive mindset, hard work, determination and effort to my team. I feel like my teammates can always count on my to be there for them in any situation.
What areas are you focusing on/trying to improve this fall? This fall, I am trying to improve some small aspects of my game as well as continuing to develop as a leader. I am going to work on making adjustments quicker offensively and continuing to work on other positioning while focusing on catching.
Can you tell us about your experience at PGF Nationals this summer? Our experience at PGF Nationals this year was unforgettable. We got to play and compete against some of the best competition, enjoy time with family, have fun with teammates off of the field and experience some of the things we dream of as little kids. We had a great pool schedule, which allowed us time to go explore California, and a bracket schedule that gave us the chance to preform at a high level every day. It was one of the best weeks I have ever experienced in my softball career.

Which player/team was your toughest opponent and why? I would say one of our tougher opponents at PGF was the Birmingham Thunderbolts in the championship game. They had depth in all aspects of the game and had the roster to keep us off balance. We hung in there with them and fought hard, but ultimately fell short.
What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? Later in life, I am interested in nursing or sports medicine. I have always wanted to help others when they’re not at their best. Sports medicine interests me because of the physical therapy I’ve received and I would love to make a positive impact on athletes.
Who is your sports hero and why? My sports hero would be all of the older girls I have played in Select Fastpitch with. They have inspired and pushed me to be the absolute best athlete and role model I can be.
What’s the best hype song and why? “The Show Goes On” (by Lupe Fiasco). It’s uplifting, has a great message and is catchy!
What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? I’m not a big TV show watcher, but when a popular series comes out on Netflix or Hulu, I sometimes find myself binging them. I don’t really have a favorite and it just depends on what’s in at the moment!
Do you have a secret talent/skill? I can wiggle my ears without moving any part of my face!
