The middle game of the three in Conroe, Texas featuring the USA Softball Women’s National Team (WNT) against Scrap Yard Fast Pitch (SYFP) will be available for viewing FREE tonight with the last game of the series taking place Tuesday night.
Yesterday, we told you how excited Dallas Escobedo, Sam Fisher and Cheridan Hawkins of Scrap Yard Fast Pitch are to face Team USA and the players many have played with or against.
Several of their current SYFP teammates feel the same.
Says Kayla Winkfield: “I think it’s awesome that we are able to play Team USA. It’s another way to grow the game and let people know that softball isn’t over after college. Scrapyard and Team USA has some of the best players in the world.
Sam Show, one of the stars of this year’s Women’s College World Series agrees.
“Getting to play Team USA is an experience I never thought I’d get. I’m facing players who I watched in middle school. Getting to see how they preform and how they compete first hand is going to better me as a player.”
Finally, another new player in the Scrap Yard organization, Riley Sartain, says of this week’s series: “I am really excited to face Team USA again! The girls on Team USA are the best of the best and it’s great to compete on the field with them!”

There are two games left in the Houston Series, tonight (Monday, July 29) and tomorrow, Tuesday, July 30.
All the games in Houston are being played at Scrap Yard Sports Complex (29607 Robinson Rd, Conroe, Texas 77385).
