APS Recruits: Simplifying Softball Recruiting for Athletes Nationwide

At Extra Inning Softball, we are intentional about aligning with partners who are actively improving the recruiting landscape—and APS Recruits stands out in that space.

We were first introduced to their team at the NFCA Convention last December, and it was immediately clear they were building something with real impact for athletes, parents, and coaches navigating the recruiting process.

Since that initial connection, we have continued working closely together and are genuinely excited about what this platform brings to the softball community.

That vision is being led by founder and owner Ryan Renne, a respected head coach within the Firecrackers organization based out of Michigan, alongside APS Recruits President Tiffany Deering.

Together, their leadership has created a platform designed to simplify recruiting, strengthen communication, and better connect athletes with the right collegiate opportunities.

Below, you will find a full interview and live demonstration of the APS Recruits platform, offering a detailed look at how it functions and why it is quickly gaining traction as a valuable recruiting tool.

Watch the Platform in Action

This interview features Extra Inning Softball‘s CEO, Bonnie Holland alongside APS Recruits owner Ryan Renne and President Tiffany Deering, offering a comprehensive look at the vision driving the platform.

To provide deeper insight, a full embedded interview is included, where the APS team walks through the platform using a live screen share. This visual demonstration is essential, as APS is best understood in application—not just in concept.

Viewers will gain a clear understanding of how athlete profiles are built, how communication with college programs is managed, how athletes identify and track best-fit opportunities, and how the platform brings structure and organization to the entire recruiting journey.

A Smarter Way to Navigate Recruiting

At Extra Inning Softball, one theme continues to surface across every level of the game: recruiting is overwhelming. From managing emails and videos to understanding timelines and building relationships with college coaches, athletes today are expected to operate like full-scale marketers—often without a clear system.

That’s where APS Recruits is positioning itself differently. Rather than offering another tool, APS introduces a centralized recruiting hub designed to simplify, organize, and elevate the entire process for athletes and families.

A True Recruiting Hub — Not Just Another Profile

The reality is straightforward: most athletes struggle with organization, communication, and clarity in recruiting. APS Recruits was built specifically to eliminate those friction points by delivering structure, accountability, and engagement in one place —it is not just a database, it is a workflow system.

APS Recruits positions itself as more than a profile builder. It functions as a complete recruiting ecosystem, allowing athletes to:

  • Build dynamic profiles with academics, stats, and video
  • Sync platforms like Gmail, X, and YouTube
  • Track communication with coaches
  • Use customizable email templates
  • Receive AI-driven college matches
  • Organize target school lists and recruiting timelines

This “all-in-one” approach removes the need for multiple spreadsheets, email chains, and disconnected tools—something families consistently struggle with. 👉 Create your APS Recruits account here.

Matching Athletes to the Right Opportunities

One of the most compelling features is APS’s ability to pair athletes with programs that fit—not just athletically, but academically and culturally. This matters, because recruiting success is no longer about exposure alone—it’s about fit and timing. APS Recruits addresses both!

Through driven recommendations and customizable filters, players can identify realistic college fits, narrow searches by major, roster needs, and program type, and track opportunities across all levels (Power 5, JUCO, NAIA, D3).

Communication That Gets Results

Perhaps the most overlooked part of recruiting is effective communication. Early beta results suggest strong engagement, with notable coach interaction rates and meaningful response time—a key indicator that the platform is solving a real gap in the market. This is where APS Recruits has real upside. Most platforms stop at exposure—APS pushes into conversion (actual coach engagement).

APS integrates directly with Gmail and social platforms, allowing athletes to send bulk or individualized emails, track engagement and responses, maintain consistent messaging, and share video updates seamlessly.

Built for Athletes—and the People Around Them

Another key distinction of APS Recruits is the breadth of who the platform is built to serve. While it is a powerful tool for athletes, it also guides parents through the often complex recruiting process, supports club organizations managing multiple players, and provides coaches with clearer visibility into each athlete’s recruiting progress.

The objective is alignment—creating a consistent, organized structure across an entire program rather than leaving athletes to navigate the process individually.

APS Recruits  is currently offering a free trial through the end of August, with a setup process that takes approximately 10 minutes. Athletes, families, and coaches can get started immediately and begin streamlining communication with college programs. Final Take from Extra Inning Softball

APS Recruits is not trying to replace exposure platforms—it is trying to connect the dots between exposure, organization, and communication.

And that is exactly where the industry has been lacking. The message is simple: Recruiting doesn’t need more noise—it needs better structure. APS is betting on that—and early indicators suggest they may be right. 👉 Sign up for your free APS Recruits account here.
