Going back to Sept. 15 of last year (2022), here’s the write-up on the then No. 1 overall honoree in the 2024 class… will she be No. 1 again? Only time will tell!

But we do know where she’ll play her collegiate ball:

1—Addisen Fisher, P, Northwest Bullets 18U – Muir
The buzz around the 2024 class all summer had to do with a certain 5-foot-11 pitcher and hitter from Bend, Oregon, who has drawn the praise of near everyone who has seen her play. Tabbed as a 1st Team 2022 Extra Inning Softball All-American this year, Addisen or “Addi” as she is also well-known, is a two-time Gatorade State Player of the Year and was given the rare distinction of being a “5 star” as tabbed by OnDeck Softball, one of the top scouting services in the game.

This, according to OnDeck’s Derrick Allister, puts Addison in some rarified air with previous 5 stars being accomplished players who went on to do great things in college and some behind, like Dallas Escabedo, Kenzie Fowler, Grace Lyons, Katelyn Boyd, Sierra Romero and Rachel Garcia to name a few.

Said one OnDeck report of the Oregon standout:

“A swing and miss talent. Can move it up and down at 68 mph. Only scratching the surface right now.”

Earlier this year for Bend (Ore.) High, the then sophomore went 20-1 with a 0.46 ERA and had 259 strikeouts against just 17 walks in 122.1 innings pitched. And of the 20 wins, six were no-hitters and two were perfect games.

Addisen at this year’s PGF All-Star Game.

For the summer, she competed for the Northwest Bullets 18U team led by Dennis Muir and, said one top coach within the organization:

“Addisen is the best player in the 2024 class.  She had another amazing year leading the pitching staff for the NW Bullets and was absolutely dominant in the circle and proved it by throwing beautiful games against many of the top teams in the country.

“As a 2024 and having pitched at the highest level of 18U competition for two summers already, her poise and command in the circle is unmatched.  She has speed, spin and the ability to locate a mix of pitches. Offensively, Addisen contributes to the team as well, providing power to the line-up and batting in the middle of the order.”

Another top club coach who has won national championships echoed those statements:

“This kid is the real deal,” he began. “She throws hard, but throws hard with great movement.  And Addi is composed in the circle too.  I think she is clear #1 at this point.  One of our top players has had a few epic at bats and said Addisen is one of the best she’s faced—the best in the 2024 class.”

Addisen has also drawn the attention of most of the Power 5 and on September 1 had more than half of the Top 25 in the country reaching out her way. She told Extra Inning Softball earlier this week that she has narrowed her list down but will still do her due diligence in checking out programs.

We’ll have more on Addi in the near future… for now, Click HERE to read our Extra Star Power spotlight on the athlete published earlier this year and click HERE to see the interview we did with the standout last month at PGF Nationals.
