Extra Inning Softball Launching National Player of the Week Honors For High School & Club Play

Question.. generally speaking, which is the only season that has high school AND club ball playing simultaneously?

Answer: with Spring being mostly high school ball nationwide and Summer involving primarily club ball competition, the Fall season is the big one for travel ball and prep play – at least in the five states of Oklahoma, Missouri, Georgia, Colorado and Nebraska (Click HERE to read more about Fall high school softball).

What is the importance of that “fun fact?”

To recognize both areas – club and high school – Extra Inning Softball will be doing both National Club Player of the Week and National High School Player of the Week honors starting next week.

Here’s the Annual Schedule of when the player rankings are released and at what level:

• Spring (March – May): high school
• Summer (June – August: club
• Fall (Sept. – Nov.): high school & club
• Winter: (Dec. – Feb.): none

… and here is the Weekly Schedule of what will be released and when:

• High school nominations will cover the previous week’s action from Monday through Sunday and be published on Wednesdays.
• Club nominations will cover the same time weekly time frame, Mondays through Sundays, and then be published on Thursdays.
