Not only is Ana Roman an intelligent person and very good amateur dancer, but she also happens to be one of the best softball players in the 2025 class.
And she appreciates all that she has in her life after two health scares involving her father has made her aware she can’t take anything for granted in life.
Roman, a 2025 outfielder for Tennessee Mojo 2023-Danley, is ranked #2 in the 2025 Extra Elite 100 and a member of the Puerto Rican Junior Olympic and World Cup teams.
“Anna has a big bat and a really strong arm in the outfield,” said Mojo IF/UT Jayden Jones, #6 in the 2024 Extra Elite 100. “She’s a threat offensively and defensively as she can take runs away and add them. What makes her unique is her personality and the energy she brings to her team.”
Florida State-commit Jaysoni Beachum, ranked #12 in the 2023 Extra Elite 100, is a big slugger and is also very impressed by Roman.
“Ana is a heck a ball player,” said Fowler, a third baseman/catcher for the Mojo. “She’s got a cannon for an arm and will blast a softball to the moon! She brings so much positive energy to the team. That will get you hype for the game. As amazing of a ball player Anna is, she is not arrogant or cocky, she’s humble, kind and a great attitude.”
Florida State-committed P Ashtyn Danley believes Roman has all the tools of a great ballplayer.
“Ana is an all-around great athlete,” said Danley, #7 in the 2023 Extra Elite 100. “She has one of the best arms I have ever seen on the field and her bat is a huge part of our lineup. She brings positive energy and makes it fun. Ana has a one-of-a-kind personality and is always there to make a joke.”

Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? What people should know about TN Mojo is how connected and bonded we are. All of my teammates are really close and Coach (Michael) Danley treats all of us like we are his own kids. I became involved with TN Mojo in the summer of 2017 through one of my teammates. So, in the fifth grade my Dad and I flew out to Tennessee and I tried out and made the team. However, an interesting fact about the tryout was that Coach Danley recommended that I play on the 2024 Mojo team instead. The option was presented to us to play right away on the 2024 team or I would have to compete to earn a starting spot on his team. Looking back, I think Coach Danley is thankful we chose to compete. And the rest is history.
What were some of the training methods and workouts you did to stay busy during the stay-at-home orders because of the COVID situation?
Florida was one of the few states that didn’t really have a lockdown. But, it was always just me and my Dad anyway, so we continued to work. We were still able to go to the fields and practice. The most I had to do was wear a mask. I started to train way more with my trainer, Ben Delacruz at OPTC, during lockdown. As well as at Stephanie Best’d ProSwings facility and with my hitting instructor, Coach Ellie Cooper.
