Last Call… The Countdown of the 2022 Top 15 Softball Stories of the Year Begins THIS Saturday!

Last year (2021), the retirement from college coaching of Mike Candrea–along with several other high-profile head coaches–was one of the Top 15 Stories of the Year. Just last week, Coach Candrea was the keynote speaker at the NFCA Convention. Starting this Saturday, the top stories of 2022 will be unveiled. Photo Arizona Athletics.

Starting this Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, Extra Inning Softball will begin our countdown of the 2022 Top 15 Stories of the Year.

And this is a last call for you, the fastpitch fan, to submit your idea(s) on what were the key features from this year were!

We will start our retrospective review that weekend with Story #15 and finish on Saturday, December 31st (New Year’s Eve day) with the #1 Story of the Year. On New Year’s Day–January 1, 2023–we’ll wrap up the series with our listing of all 15 stories and add 10 more that were considered.

We would love to get YOUR opinion on what you think will have been the most impactful, surprising, shocking, inspiring, funny or interesting stories in fastpitch softball from January 1, 2022 til now!
