Highlighting Top Talent at PGF Show Me the Money!

This week our Extra Inning Softball team is attending PGF Show Me the Money in Newberry, Florida. This year’s event introduces an exciting new format aimed at maximizing Division 1 exposure on the first recruiting weekend of the season. With the best young talents in girls’ fastpitch softball congregating, the tournament is set to showcase the future stars of the sport.

PGF: Show Me the Money: Format for Maximum Exposure

To provide optimal exposure for aspiring college athletes, the tournament features a unique format: teams will engage in two pool games before moving into a double-elimination bracket. This setup ensures that every game matters, keeping the competition intense and the stakes high. On Sunday, every team will participate in two showcase games, providing ample opportunities for players to impress college coaches and scouts. The winning team in each age group will receive a $10k cash prize and the runner up will receive $2500. All Championship games will be played at the University of Florida on Sunday June 9th.

TikTok Fun!

In addition to documenting the games, we connected with players and coaches through various fun activities, including making TikToks that showcased the lighter side of the competition. Engaging with the community, we created fun and entertaining TikTox with many players and even a few coaches. These short videos, filled with behind-the-scenes glimpses, brought a fresh and enjoyable element to the tournament. They provided a platform for athletes to showcase their personalities and connect with fans in a new, exciting way.

Extra Impact Ambassadors

We also had the pleasure of meeting two of our new Impact Ambassadors. These individuals, chosen for their exceptional skills and leadership both on and off the field, embody the spirit and dedication of young athletes striving for excellence. Their presence at the tournament highlighted the importance of mentorship and the positive impact these role models can have on their peers.
