Carly Robbins’ recruiting journey didn’t go as planned, but the 2020 MIF/OF remained dedicated and determined to the process.
“My journey was different,” Robbins said. “It was long but the most rewarding process that I’ve been through. I focused on one school instead of expanding my options and that school didn’t pan out. In addition to that, at the beginning of my junior year I was injured and had to sit out my entire junior season and rehab, which also didn’t help me.”
The Firecrackers-Rico/Weil standout suffered a sprained ulnar collateral ligament to her elbow that kept her sidelined, but she battled her way back and she’s now 100 percent for her senior year at Los Alamitos High, California.
Robbins, a dynamic lefty with power and speed who is ranked #112 in the Class of 2020, had a happy ending to her recruiting journey when she committed to South Carolina last week.
