Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? The Firecrackers organization is an organization focused on ensuring the highest level of social and athletic development and growth. I have been in the organization for a couple of years and I was invited to play with the premier national team this past fall. It is a great recruiting platform and opened the door for many opportunities.
Do you have any suggestions for training methods or apps and why? I like to train with weighted balls, working on a smooth and efficient arm circle and bands to focus on my stride. I also focus on arm care and functional training throughout the week.
Can you tell us about your experience at Alliance Nationals this summer? My team has already received the berth to Nationals early on in the season and looking forward to play some good competition.
What was your favorite fall tournament/event and why? My favorite fall tournament was Scenic City in Chattanooga, TN. We faced good competition and I was awarded pitcher of the tournament.
Which player/team was your toughest opponent and why? I would say the toughest team I have played is Warrior Academy-Jimenez. They are a strong offensive team and it was great to face good competition.
Can you tell us why you chose to commit to Texas A&M? I chose Texas A&M because of the the many traditions, the coaching staff and hometown feeling of College Station.
What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? I want to study either marketing or sports management because they are two occupations that highly interest me.
Who is your sports hero and why? My uncle (Adam Jahnsen) is definitely my sports hero. He played college baseball and was later signed as a free-agent with the St. Louis Cardinals and invited to spring training. He now owns a baseball pitching academy, Ace Baseball Development. He is my biggest mentor and pushes me to be my best.
What’s the best hype song and why? The best hype song is “Wicked Freestyle” by Nardo Wick.
What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? My favorite show to binge watch is “Outer Banks” because it is suspenseful while also entertaining.
