This is an unusual one, kind of backwards in how we found out.
Usually for transfers we get a press release from a university notifying us of a new pickup or hear from someone tied to the school, but for this Charlotte pickup, it came via a fan letting us that former Florida outfielder Christina Wellen is on the 49ers roster.
She even has a number (#14) and everything so that must make it official!
Christina is from Florida and played club ball for Central Florida Intensity before heading to UF.
