Extra Elite 100 Rankings

Each year, the staff at Extra inning Softball collaborates with a board of advisors to determine the Extra Elite 100, a rankings system designed to honor young athlete’s commitment to the sport, respected by college programs for years. Working from nominations, as well as research conducted internally, a spot in the Extra Elite 100 is a highly-coveted and well-deserved recognition for hundreds of athletes each year, many of which use the honor to enhance their resume as recruitment periods open.

Regional Rankings

To ensure that we honor as many deserving players as possible, breaking the rankings down into six regions–Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, Mountain, and West–makes it possible to highlight the best of the best in every part of the country. 

Position Rankings

As the recruitment period opens for athletes, it is important to stand out at one’s position in order to get a foot in at the next level. Because of this, Extra Inning Softball has designed a platform that honors the time and dedication it takes to be a master of one’s position through our Position Rankings, updated annually. 

Coach Rankings 

Covering the best coaches at each level of play–high school, club, and college–Extra Inning Softball’s Coach Rankings. The nomination period for each level is located here, and similar to the Extra Elite 100, our team works with a board of advisors to ensure the best coaches in fastpitch are celebrated. Nominating your coach or someone who has made an impact on your softball career is a great way to show your appreciation as a player. A metric used to boast athletes’ resumes every year, being named to the All-American team is respected accomplishment awarded to those who excel at the high school level.

Witness the development of teams from summer to summer with our All-Summer Club Teams feature. Updated annually in August, this feature showcases the players to watch as the fall season kicks off, providing valuable insights for softball fans and coaches. Designed to honor excellence on the field from season to season, nominations are considered, but the rankings are heavily performance and competition-level based, crafted to track the best of the best!
