In everyone’s life, a little rain will fall.
But what happens when there’s a lightening delay and some rain showers that postpone game action for 1 ½ hours?
That was the situation at Al Barber Park for the Atlanta Legacy Invitational on Saturday and when a passing storm halted action at the beautiful facility, it resulted in four 18U club teams getting together and breaking out into song and dance!
Here’s how it went down…
At 12:40 pm EST, a lightning strike in the area meant the fields were cleared and the East Cobb Bullets – Coleman team gathered to lead a quick cheer of “Go Bullets:”
Before long, the Bullets started doing some singing and dancing in their own dugout:
Meanwhile, at a dugout on a field behind the Bullets, the Rhode Island Thunder are getting into some tunes, including clips from “Frozen,” and the two teams start singing at each and with each… a little out of synch at first, but it gets better and better:
Before long, however, the Bullets leave their dugout and run to join the Thunder so they can sing/dance together!
The two teams are loud enough and having so much fun that quickly two more teams in the vicinity—Team NC and Georgia Impact—runs over to join… in the same dugout! The singing and dancing becomes electric!
Eventually, the word is given that the teams can head outside and the four teams continue the “party” outside and do some line dancing!
Talk about making lemonade out of lemons, congrats to the ladies on these four teams who made a fun time out of a break in the action!
