Last week, Extra Inning Softball announced that the Extra Elite Eighty 14U Club Rankings will launch on March 23 (in less than three weeks!).
One team to watch at that age level will be Charlie Esparza’s Hotshots Premier 14U HTX National team comprised of 2024 and 2025 players.
The Hotshots are expected to attend the some of the top high-profile events this summer including the Colorado Power Pool, USA Elite Select Nationals and PGF Premier Nationals and what makes this team dangerous and one to watch is the talent of the pitching staff, which is arguably the deepest and most elite in the 2024 grad class.
And it recently got better.
Bailey Lindemuth who has led her teams in past seasons to top finishes, joined the Hotshots National Team coached by Esparza, John Holas and Staci Ramsey about a month ago and makes an already strong team even more dangerous.
Lindemuth is ranked in the Top 30 of the 2024 Extra Elite 100 and joins a pitching staff that is already stacked with several highly-ranked 2024 Extra Elite players in Camryn Harrison (Top 20), Matti Mathews (Top 25), Bella Ramon (Top 150) and Kadence Williams (Top 175).
Coach Esparza isn’t worked about the glut of talent in the circle and says it comes down to one word he emphasizes to maximize his team’s chances.
“Compete!” he says. “My team, my players and my staff know what I’m teaching and that’s every day—whether it’s practice or game time—they have to compete and earn it. Every one of my kids wants to play at the highest level so we’re making sure to start them now preparing for the older age groups.”
It’s not like Lindemuth is a total stranger; she’s already lined up in the dugout with her new head coach and some of her fellow pitchers.
“Bailey brings experience playing at the highest level of competition,” Esparza explains, “and adds value all the way around in depth. I had the opportunity to already have Bailey, Camryn and Matti on my team as I coached the 12U ASA All American team and that was fun.”
Here’s a closer look at the latest pitching pickup for the Hotshots…

Coach’s Comments: “Bailey is fast and hits for power offensively and is nationally known for being one of the hardest throwers in 2024 class. Last year, she was my teams Kryptonite anytime we faced them, but without her in the circle we would usually win in very tight games. At the All-American games held in Oklahoma, Bailey and my other two pitchers Camryn Harrison and Matti Matthews, pitched us to a 2nd place finish in the most prestigious 2024 games.” — Charlie Esparza, Hotshots Premier 14U HTX
