I Committed Highlights – Sienna Caro, Abby Dunstan and Kaylee Goodpaster
As the Atlantic Coast Conference continues to shine as one of the premier conferences in college softball, three standout athletes—Sienna Caro, Abby Dunstan, and Kaylee Goodpaster—are set to make their mark, having recently committed to Duke, Georgia Tech, and Florida State, respectively. These three Class of 2026 recruits have each earned recognition for their skills and leadership, and they are excited to compete at the next level in the highly competitive ACC.
Sienna Caro – Duke University
Sienna Caro, a versatile player who excels at middle infield, third base, and outfield, recently committed to Duke University. As a key member of AZ Storm National Mathis and a varsity starter at Pinnacle High School, Caro’s impact on the field has been remarkable. Her ability to adapt to different positions and her offensive power have set her apart.
“I fell in love with Duke because it offers high academics and a competitive softball program,” said Caro. “It’s the perfect place for me to grow as a student and an athlete.”
Caro’s accolades include setting the Pinnacle High School single-season RBI record with 61 and being named the 2024 Offensive Player of the Year. Her passion for the game, combined with her strong work ethic, has her poised to thrive in the ACC.
Abby Dunstan – Georgia Tech
Abby Dunstan, a standout catcher and corner infielder, has committed to Georgia Tech. Known for her defensive skills behind the plate, Dunstan’s ability to work around the ball has impressed coaches and college scouts alike. Playing for Williamsburg Starz Gold National Bunn, she has showcased her talent at the national level.
“I chose Georgia Tech because of the welcoming coaching staff, the incredible education, and the high level of play in the ACC,” Dunstan said. “The team’s catching style aligns perfectly with my approach to the position, which makes me excited to contribute.”
Dunstan’s journey from a small town in Pennsylvania to a Division 1 program is a testament to her dedication and perseverance. Her strong receiving skills and leadership on the field will undoubtedly make her a key player for the Yellow Jackets.
Kaylee Goodpaster – Florida State University
Kaylee Goodpaster, an outfielder and corner infielder for Birmingham Thunderbolts 18Premier, has committed to Florida State University, fulfilling a dream she’s had since childhood. Growing up near the FSU campus, Goodpaster has attended camps and games for years, solidifying her love for the program.
“FSU feels like home. I’ve grown up watching their games, and I always knew this was where I wanted to be,” Goodpaster said. “The fans, the team culture, and the player development focus are what drew me in.”
Goodpaster’s journey hasn’t been without challenges. After suffering a major back injury, she worked tirelessly to overcome it and return to top form. Now fully healed, she’s ready to bring her power-hitting ability and passion for the game to Tallahassee.
The Future of ACC Softball
These three athletes—Caro, Dunstan, and Goodpaster—bring unique strengths to their teams and will be competing in one of the most talented conferences in the nation. Their drive, skill, and determination will no doubt contribute to the ongoing success of ACC softball.
