Welcome to the second installment in this series of articles where we are discussing the benefits of implementing a strength program for your athlete. In the previous article, I introduced the concept of strength training and how a well structured plan might be laid out in order to benefit your athlete. In this article, I am going to further explain how strength training can be a potent way to fight off injuries.
All injuries are not preventable, but it is important that athletes prepare their bodies for sport through strength training. Strength training is one of the best ways to try and prevent common overuse or in-game injuries.
