PGF Nationals… Day 2 of Bracket Play: Contenders Emerging for 14U Premier & Platinum Titles

Week 2 of the PGF National Championships are being played in several impressive complexes across Orange County (So Cal) with 14U Premier being in Huntington Beach, 12U Premier in Fountain Valley and 14U Platinum and some 10U in Irvine.

I spent the morning checking out the 14U Platinum play at Harvard Park in Irvine and one team really impressed—you can read about that team below and why, when they could be a finalist for the Premier championship, their coach felt the Platinum level was best for them.

At 2:45 pm at the Huntington Beach Sports Complex, you could say the best teams in the PGF Nationals this week took the field—Fields 1-through-8, to be exact—as eight teams moved on undefeated in Bracket Play and will battle on Friday at 12:30 pm in the Winner’s Bracket “Final 4.”
