For the first time, Extra Inning Softball compiled coaches’ rankings for the 16U age group.
We contacted a select group of club coaches and heads of organizations from around the country, hoping to get their expertise and analysis to come up with the top-20 teams in the country — PGF teams and Alliance teams.
We asked them so come up with a top-20 poll using whatever criteria — Nationals, tournament importance, head-to-head — they deemed fair. Extra Inning Softball compiled those polls — 20 points for first place, 18 points for second place, etc. — totaled them up up and listed them 1-20. We also included the other teams (in alphabetical order) that received votes.
We appreciate the coaches that participated in the poll for providing their insights and research and thank them for taking the time to come up with their top-20 polls. The following is the first Extra Inning Softball Preseason 16U Coaches’ Rankings:
