The nominations for the updated 2026 Extra Elite 100 rankings are now being accepted for the next series of ratings which will launch on June 5th—five weeks from today!
The nomination deadline to submit players for consideration Sunday, May 28 @ 5 pm!Â
To nominate players, go to the “Rankings/Nominations“ tab at the top of the home page or simply click HERE.
The coverage for the class will include:
- the 2026 Extra Elite 100 ranked prospects with bios and photos
- the players ranked #’s 101-500
- a spotlight on the top player in the class
- position rankings (pitchers, catchers, infielders, outfielders)
- and, new starting with this edition: All-Region teams!
The rankings are led by Brentt Eads, Extra Inning Softball’s President & Executive Editor, along with members of the Extra Inning Softball staff as well as input from more than 250 college and club scouts and coaches.
Brentt, who originated the top 100 rankings lists used in softball, has now ranked 15 grad classes (2014 to 2028) and, with updates of each, will have done more than 40 class rankings.
Important Notes:
*** Beginning with this version of the Extra Elite 100 rankings, the Top 100 will be be “scaled back,” meaning it will be more of a TRUE Top 100 list. There will be fewer “ties” but the good news is more players will be honored as they make the All-Region and Position Rankings.
*** Top club coaches will participate in providing feedback and insights on who they think are top 100 candidates. If you’re a club coach and would like to be on the contributing “Board of Directors,” please e-mail info@extrainningsoftball.com to be considered.

- Wed., June 7, 2023: #’s 80-71
- Thu., June 8, 2023: #’s 70-61
- Fri., June 9, 2023: #’s 60-51
- Mon., June 12, 2023: #’s 50-41
- Tues., June 13, 2023: #’s 40-31
- Wed., June 14, 2023: #’s 30-21
- Thu., June 15, 2023: #’s 20-11
- Fri., June 16, 2023: #’s 10-1
*** Also, to be announced this month is the schedule for the Class of 2026 Position Rankings, the players #’s 101-500 and the NEW Class of 2026 REGIONAL Rankings.
