It’s an exciting time for many 2023’s and 2024’s who are finalizing their futures as to where they will attend college and what universities they’ll play for!
Occasionally, we like to remind the softball community—players, parents and coaches—of our online form called “I Committed” which you can access at the top of our Extra Inning Softball home page under the I Committed/Verbals tab or you can reach by simply clicking HERE.
What a great accomplishment, getting to play softball at the next level!
… and we’d love to share the news on our site and through social media, so fill out the form and send us the info behind the commitment as well as a picture or two.
Who knows? Provide enough stats, honors, quotes and pics around your verbal and we may turn it into a feature story, like many in the links provided below over the last year.

Notice these commits cover conferences at all levels from East Coast to West Coast!
- Arionna McElroy to McNeese State
- Leilani Bustamante to Missouri Kansas City
- Katie Knarr to Rhode Island
- Natalie Camarena to Cal Poly SLO
- Natalia Kenyatta to Michigan State
- KK Herring to Coastal Carolina
- Cece Smith to George Washington
- Bella Foran to Florida Atlantic
- Sa’Mya Jones to LSU
- Rylee Slimp to UCLA
- Saviya Morgan to Tennessee

I have been the starting catcher for our high school and we have finished in the Top 5 for the past two years.
My travel club team has finished in the Top 10 of Sparkler and PGF Nationals for the past two years also.
I have power to all fields and have a high contact rate. I hate empty at-bats! My consistency at the plate, strong arm and framing are my strengths I believe. I have started working at 1st base over the past couple of seasons so that we can work other players into the lineup.
Virginia was my dream school. I had several other P5 schools offers but Coach Joanna (Hardin) made me feel like family, and Charlottesville is the most beautiful college city in America. I am so excited!

Hi, my name is Caitlin Tighe and I am currently ranked #49 in the class of 2024.
On November 12, 2022 I verbally committed to Western Michigan University to continue my academic and softball career.
Coach Jenny Rohn and Coach Marlee Wilson were instrumental in my recruitment process and after getting to know both of them and see their energy and passion for the game and for me as a player/person made my decision easy.
I look forward to competing for championships with this program very soon. Go Broncos!
