Can anyone slow down Team USA? Or even score a run?
Three games into the 2023 Pan American Championship, the U-15 U.S. Women’s National Team (WNT) has now outscored its opponents 43-0 after the Red, White & Blue beat up Guatemala (Team WBSC) on Tuesday by a football-like score of 25-0.
There were so many big contributors for the American side but you have to single out Macie Bryant who was perfectly perfect… both in the circle and at the plate.
The 2027 standout from Texas pitched a clean three innings and downed eight of the opposing nine Guatemala hitters by strikeout. At the plate, Macie went 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles and drove in three runs herself.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
The Eagles soared to its third-straight run-rule victory of the 2023 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Pan American Championship behind an explosive offensive performance featuring a combined 19 hits and a perfect game tossed by Macie Bryant in her U.S. pitching debut.
Retiring all nine batters that she faced in order – eight via a strikeout – Bryant sealed the shutout win while allowing only one Guatemala batter to make contact through three innings.
The Red, White and Blue pressed the gas early, scoring an impressive 16 runs in the top of the first inning thanks to a series of walks and base hits before tacking on five more in the top of the second and four in the top of the third.
Highlighting the U.S. offense with a perfect multi-hit day at the plate was Abdullah (3-for-3), Bryant (2-for-2), Otto (2-for-2), and South (2-for-2) in addition to Madi Doty and Torynn Slaughter who each tallied a pinch-hit home run – the first of their U.S. careers.
A true team-win, 12 U.S. batters recorded at least one hit on the day while combining for a .791 batting average.Â
