While most players around the country are gearing up for the 2024 high school season, several states have begun the season and Extra Inning Softball will be accepting nominations for EIS National High School Player of the Week.
Evan Smith of Southwest Christian School in Fort Worth, Texas took home honors for week one after tossing a no-hitter in the season opener and also producing at the plate.
In an effort to increase accessibility and ease in terms of nominating players for Player of the Week honors, Extra Inning Softball has added the nomination form to the navigation bar on the homepage.
Coaches, fans and players can now access the form under the High School/Club tab located at the top of the homepage.
Bookmark the form for the remainder of the high school season and for future reference when nominating players in 2024.
Additionally, Extra Inning Softball will be naming a National Club Player of the Week once the club season gets underway nationwide.
The schedule for Player of the Week selections will be as follows:
- Spring (March – May) High School
- Summer (June – August) Club
- Fall (Sept. – Nov.) High School and Club
The weekly schedule will be as follows:
- High school nominations will cover the previous week’s action from Monday through Sunday and be published on Wednesdays.
- Club nominations will cover the same time weekly time frame, Mondays through Sundays, and then be published on Thursdays.
